Little Miss Sunshine

I'd been wanting to see this movie since I saw the first trailer for it. It looked so funny and so refreshing - completely opposite to any of the movies that have been out lately. On the 20th Todd, Kyle and I got together for a movie night and headed to the Odeon to see my much anticipated movie.
My honest opinion about the film?
Absolutely amazing. Easily the best movie I've seen in YEARS. It's taken its rightful place among my top 5 all-time movies.
A dysfunctional family on a trip across the country. Hilarity ensues.
It has everything. A crazy wacko family who obviously loves each other immensely even though they try dammed hard to not to. There isn't a central character. They all are. And the movie allows you to get to know all of them, and are touched by all of them. I am not ashamed to admit that there was a tear or two during a couple of the serious spots.
There are so many twists and turns, you barely expect any of them. And the trailer? It shows you clips from maybe the first 5 minutes of the film itself. It gives away absolutely nothing of the film, which is rare nowadays.
At so many places during the movie, I found myself thinking "who comes up with things like this??" The humor is just so unexpected, it makes the jokes twice as funny. I laughed until I cried. My sides hurt when I got up to leave the theatre.
Go see it. Seriously.
You will not be disappointed.
