It was another fun Friday night at Upstairs. I went out with Amanda, Lia and Jen for a girl's night!..... and I think Amanda is trying to steal my necklace!

Roomies! Dancing up a storm!
And holy crap, I am in desperate need of a tan.

Okay, I have no idea what's going on in this shot... apparently, neither does Lia! Still looks cool though! Yeah it does!

Cheers!

Amanda and I! I'm so glad she's as awesome as she is! We have so much fun! :)

This was my Sunday afternoon! Baking, baking, baking!
"Just call me Margaret!"

Oh man, even the cookie dough looks yummy.

Posing with my cookies.... yes, I'm fully aware that I'm a huge geek.

A double batch of Mint Chocolate Chip cookies.
I'm awesome.
Amanda, Cheryl and I took a walk through Beacon Hill Park on Saturday afternoon. It was a gorgeous day, and the park was pretty busy. There were about eight guys kite surfing in the water. Note to self: Learn how to kite. It looks awesome.

I love how the ocean looks like it just goes on forever...

I took this picture just for a shot of the coastline... but now that I look at it again, the clouds almost look like they're about to drop a tornado right onto the beach.

These ladies were laughing like crazy while they were taking pictures of each other. I couldn't help but giggle, watching how much fun they were having. It's not creepy that I took pictures of perfect strangers while they weren't looking... is it?

The cemetary where Emily Carr is buried is in Victoria, so today I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take a walk to try and find it. I never got to the cemetary.
Instead, I found a beach.

My Shadow in the Sand.

The sky started to turn dark, so I began my forty minute trek back home.

Only a step ahead of the rain.

One last thing - if you're reading my blog, leave me a comment! It's nice to know who's dropping by. Otherwise I'm just posting pictures for ME... and that's less fun.

Cheers!
Blue skies and a shining sun - today was just too nice to spend inside. Amanda and I, along with a couple of her friends, went out to the beach to walk around and take pictures. If this is what spring looks like in Victoria, I'm a happy girl.

I don't know who this guy is, but he seemed awfully comfortable, so I didn't want to disturb him. Actually, he made a nice addition to this shot.

Max and Amanda enjoying the view.

The Island is so wonderfully amazing. I wish I could explain. But I think that to really understand and appreciate it, you have to be here to see the scenery and smell the ocean yourself. I want to sit and take it all in for as long as I can. It's a serenity that I can't put into words.
Being the rebel that I am, I decided to pretend I was a post-grad UVic stuent and tag along on a grad-only bowling night with Meghann and some of her classmatets. This was my team! Jamie, Ming, Stacey, and of course, Meg.

Gotta show the lucky ball a little love.

Meghann and I

Someone left birthday hats just lying around! How can we NOT take advantage of a situation like that? Matt, can you please try and stop laughing long enough for us to take a serious picture??

Oh, AND - this was a non-drinking event. That's right. We were acting this way while being completely sober. Some might think we're odd. I just think we're fun. :)
