This afternoon we embarked on a journey to the top of Mount Douglas. It was a lot harder than I expected it to be... though I don't know why I would expect it to be easy - it is a MOUNTIAN after all. Aside from realizing how horribly out of shape I am, it was an amazing afternoon. Such a beautiful February day, and the view was breath taking.

We begin our hike up Mt. Douglas - Meghann, Anders, Danny, Jen, and me with the camera at the back of the pack... where I stayed for the whole hike. It's about now that I begin to think I am not as in shape as I would like to think I am.

Anders proves that he can, in fact, fit inside of a tree.

A little blurry, but cute nonetheless. Only our second "break" on the way to the top! We can totally hack it in the wilderness! This nature stuff is easy.

Fourth break. Meghann: "My heart is beating SO FAST!!"

Fifth break. I'm half way up Mt. Douglas, and only
slightly winded... are we there yet??

The view from half way up the Mountian.

Yay! I made it to the top!

Meghann and Anders take a break once we get to the Lookout.

A view of Mt. Baker on the other side of the border. I just found out today that Mt. Baker is actually an active volcano! Cool!

Ahhh. The wind blowing through my hair. It looks so high up. The view was amazing from the Lookout point. Meghann and I decided that we're going to come back in the summer, and have NO breaks on our way to the top. Aren't we the ambitious ones!

Facing East - hi Home! Can you see me waving, Mum??
