We decided to head to Upstairs again this past Friday night. Before I left I made sure to take the obligatory look-at-how-cute-I-am picture... which sort of looks like a look-at-how-POSSESSED-I-am picture now that I look at it. Oh, and I've decided that this is the GREENEST shirt I own. Makes me think of Oompa Loompas, actually. It will forever be known as the Oompa Loompa shirt..... that makes me happy.

Waiting to get into the bar. Let us in, we're freezing!!

Me and Meghann. :)

This is an example of what happens when you leave your camera with my friends... you get eight pictures of feet.... Literally.

*MWAH!*

Meghann and I.... We're cute. You know it.

Chris and Matt trying to look cool....

Percey makes his move on a Mystery Girl..... ohhhhhhhh!!

Anita, Meghann, Me and Anders... I must have missed the "Wear Black" memo

This afternoon we embarked on a journey to the top of Mount Douglas. It was a lot harder than I expected it to be... though I don't know why I would expect it to be easy - it is a MOUNTIAN after all. Aside from realizing how horribly out of shape I am, it was an amazing afternoon. Such a beautiful February day, and the view was breath taking.

We begin our hike up Mt. Douglas - Meghann, Anders, Danny, Jen, and me with the camera at the back of the pack... where I stayed for the whole hike. It's about now that I begin to think I am not as in shape as I would like to think I am.

Anders proves that he can, in fact, fit inside of a tree.

A little blurry, but cute nonetheless. Only our second "break" on the way to the top! We can totally hack it in the wilderness! This nature stuff is easy.

Fourth break. Meghann: "My heart is beating SO FAST!!"

Fifth break. I'm half way up Mt. Douglas, and only slightly winded... are we there yet??

The view from half way up the Mountian.

Yay! I made it to the top!

Meghann and Anders take a break once we get to the Lookout.

A view of Mt. Baker on the other side of the border. I just found out today that Mt. Baker is actually an active volcano! Cool!

Ahhh. The wind blowing through my hair. It looks so high up. The view was amazing from the Lookout point. Meghann and I decided that we're going to come back in the summer, and have NO breaks on our way to the top. Aren't we the ambitious ones!

Facing East - hi Home! Can you see me waving, Mum??
My new house - after about 2 weeks, I'm finally all moved in. Some people think the house looks a little quirky, but I actually like it quite a bit. In the summer time the garden is all full of flowers. :) I think it fits me very well - a quirky little house for a quirky little girl.

I've had a demand for more scenic pictures. Granted, not very many people enjoy looking at pictures of people they don't know. These shots aren't too recent, but they still show the amazing scenery that BC has to offer. Every time I see pictures like these, Im glad that I've come to the island.

We decided to get away for the Labour Day weekend, so we packed up the car and headed up to Sombrio Brach - one of our most favourite spots - for a few nights of camping. How can you not love this place? I am in awe every time I go there. This is the first view of the beach when you get to the end of the forest path.

Is it?...... it IS!! The most PERFECT campfire grilled cheese sandwich! Prepared by moi!

I just love the head gear.

Waving to Kyle on the opposite bank.

Kyle swam through the river to get back to our site... I was cold just watching him swim, so I took the path through the forest instead.

This is the same river, viewed from the forest.

I'm sorry, Disney Land.... but to me, Sombrio is the happiest place on Earth.
